Chillin'

...taking a short break from blogging...days not weeks!  It's winter on the Cape and it's cold, low temps in the mid 30's F.  Cold means hibernation!  Well, the reality is that I've got to get our taxes done NOW!  Got to produce and mail our W-4's and 1099-MISC's, since we employ Adam's aides and others.  Federal taxes, we owe; state taxes, we get back; Trust taxes and reports are a complicated pain in the arse. Of course, the forms were due by February 1...hence, I'm a tad bit late.
Evaluations for determining Medicaid hours for PCA's; DDS (Department of Developmental Services) appointments for state grants; Health Insurance renewals; Adam's SSI (Supplemental Security Income) re-evauations, on and on.  BooHoo!  Plus mom and dad have decided to go vegan after watching a scary documentary called "Forks Over Knives"!  So dad has to create a whole new menu and food shopping routine since he's the cook here.  We're trying to extend our life expectancy to match Adam's. So the blogger will return shortly!
So, I hope you buy my excuse...

My wife told me that "arguement" is spelled wrong in the poster.
actually it's the British variation of argument!  Ha! Ha!

  1. So I want to read Forks over Knives but I love meat way to much. In this case I'm going to have to go with ignorance is bliss! I hate tax season as well. With our huge medical expenses we always get money back each year but mine are never complete until the deadline.

    1. Big switch, because I love good meat, good fish and dairy products, but I need to clean out years of unhealthy accumulation...me too, always on deadlines, but when you have little withheld, you owe....

  2. We just ate another tofurkey for dinner(my daughter gave up meat a year ago) and they are actually pretty tasty. As you know from FB, the kielbasa was another story. Not good.

I did the taxes last weekend, and I'm just hoping I got it all right this time. Have fun!!

    1. Well, Carolyn, we're gonna try...we just need to extend our lives as long as possible to care for Adam. I actually have found some tasty recipes ...will tell as time goes on.

  3. Congratulations on your new-found veganism. I went vegetarian for eight years, but after feeling terrible the tail end two of those, I relented and got back on the meat train. Make sure you add B12 vitamins to that shopping list. ;)
